The conference will be held in Doha, Qatar, April 10-12, 2018.

This special session on HVDC systems intends to present new research results, and latest ideas and innovations in the applications, control techniques, architectures, protection, modeling, and power converters through bringing together researchers and designers from academia, utility, and industry to share and exchange ideas in contemporary issues of this.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

•             HVDC systems and their applications (point-to-point and multi-terminal).

•             Power Converters (LCC, 2-level, modular multilevel, and DC-DC converters) for HVDC systems.

•             Protection of HVDC systems.

•             Control of HVDC systems.
